This is my koi... took about 11 hours total work from outlining to final shading.  It was done by Eric, a good friend of mine, at Crossroads Tattoo in Houston, TX

In the japanese culture, the koi fish is a symbol of luck, bringing prosperity, and also represents perseverence in adversity and strength of purpose.
